Though it had certainly made things interesting for a bit, Eliot was glad that things on the ship were back to normal. He'd also noticed some newcomers around - the white haired elf, his equally hot friend. And... was that another one? He moved a little closer, hoping to get a better look at him.

Eliot frowned. "Okay, look, I already know I'm half fae. Djinn, apparently. Why, you got a djinn friend who looks like me?"

He scoffed at that.

"You're no djinn. Who told you that lie?" he laughed derisively.

The frown deepened. "John. He did... a spell."

A spell that had involved some extremely hot sex.

[willysilver]

"A spell?" he asked, shaking his head with a laugh. "Of course."

He, too, could do a spell. Willy waved his hand and a mirror appeared, reflecting Eliot.

"Mirror, show me his mother," he told it, and a familiar face appeared.

It was a bit of a jump scare for Eliot, who hadn't seen his mother in a very long time. He felt a weird mix of emotions. She was actually a lovely woman, but memories of her were tainted by the man he'd assumed was his father.

"Can you show me my father?" he asked, looking at the man sharply.

Willy stepped behind ELiot to look into the mirror over his shoulder. The two faces in the mirror vanished and only Willy, younger and cleaner, stood there. The scene shifted to a woman in the rain,crying and alone. The fae offering her his coat. The pair sharing pie and coffee late night in a diner. Real happiness on her face. True love in her eyes.

And a last glimpse of har sleeping form, naked and sated, safe in her bed in a room where some man already laid claim.

"I'm certain she doesn't even remember," he said softly.

Eliot stared at him for a second, and then shook his head. "You're fucking with me."

"For what reason?" Willy asked. "What would I gain?"

"I don't... know," Eliot said, and glanced around them as if someone was going to be there to save him or offer some explanation. "I don't know you."

[willysilver]

Willy looked him up and down again, this time appraising him as offspring, and smiled.

"I am Willy Silver," he said. "Your lineage is Daoine Sidhe. Not Djinn."

Eliot couldn't deny that something about it just felt... right. But it was also completely absurd.

"I was flirting with you," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

[willysilver]

"You were trying," Willy nodded in agreement. "You are still quite young."

[eliot_thespectacular]

"I'm not that young," Eliot said indignantly.

Then after looking at him for a second longer added, "I need a drink."

[willysilver]

"An absolute must," Willy nodded.

Another wave of his hand and the mirror swirled and twisted and became a bottle of clear liquid and two slim glasses.

"Sidhe make this from cherries," he said. "Few humans know the taste."

The taste was...pain. Burning, air stealing, pain.

And then fresh, ripe cherries.

Eliot wondered if Nyx could do that too, because if so what a waste of anxiety, breaking into Bond and Q's quarters to steal wine.

"Pour," he said. "And let's sit." He moved closer to the boat's railing and slid down to sit on the floor and lean against it.

He smiled and also produced a small toadstool table and two small chunks of wood to sit upon. A tea pot and cups appeared and a tiered tray laden with sweets and sandwiches.

"The drink will whet your appetite," he told him as he took a comfortable seat.

Eliot just looked at him for a moment, and then got to his feet, and took a seat.

"Isn't it a bad idea to eat fae food?" he said. He'd been reading up.

[willysilver]

"Bad for...?" he asked, taking another drink.

[eliot_thespectacular]

"Whoever's eating it," Eliot said. "That they'll be trapped..."

He paused, realizing this sounded stupid. "In fae lands. Which is not where we are."

He finally picked up the glass and took a drink, then coughed, surprised as it burned.

Willy's laugh only moved his shoulders.

"There are many things to be cautious of when dealing with fae. You are not wrong," he said.

The burning subsided into the sweet taste of cherries. Well that was interesting. He hoped it would get him drunk.

He set the glass down. And then finally asked, "So you're really telling me that you're my father."

[willysilver]

"Is that something you'd rather not know?" Willy offered, a magic accompanying the words that made the world...tighter.

He wondered if Eliot had learned of the dangers of deals...

"Ignorance is dangerous," Eliot said. "Why are you here? Did you come looking for me?"

[willysilver]

Willy laughed outright at that.

"No," he said, the sound light and yet somehow casually cruel.

"I needed passage and found it."

[eliot_thespectacular]

"... right," said Eliot.

As absurd as a coincidence seemed, Eliot believed him. In part because he sounded so cruel about it.
